Where can you search for blogs?:
- Technorati (choose ‘search for blogs’ or ‘search for posts’ thoughtfully)
- BlogScope
- Google, using a keyword search + the word blogs (can sometimes get you to a list of relevant blogs as well as to individual blogs)
- Google Blogs (not a perfect filter: some results are not actually blogs, though they may be websites of interest to you anyway)
- the homepages of the major free blogging platforms (WordPress, Blogger, LiveJournal, etc.)
However, although search engines can get you to blogs, they’re pretty awful at it. Use these searches as a starting point, not as the way you find blogs.
Bloggers tend to write and read in communities. The best way to find useful blogs is to discover a couple relevant blogs and click to links from their blogrolls (also, actually read them regularly and follow the links from their posts to other relevant posts they admire). Lather, rinse, repeat.
