Are these social media outlets mostly scientists communicating with other scientists, or scientists communicating with the general public (non-scientists), or with public policy folks or … ? Does intended audience vary at all from site to site? Are you seeing any press releases, for instance? I’m curious about how insider/outsider audiences affect scientific communication here.
